It's Done! Baby Girl is Ours and she is HOME!

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support! Angelina is home and we are soooo happy. Today, Brith mom and Birth dad gave us the most precious, eternal gift. We admire their strength and hope that you will extend your prayers to them during this time. Adoption is weird because we are experiencing so much joy and happiness today, but we also feel sadness for the birth parents and their families. Yet, adoption is beautiful because it allows people like us to be parents and to grow our family. We feel like Baby Girl was meant for our family and our Heavenly Father chose the birth parents to deliver her to us. :)

We arrived at our adoption agency at around noon today and signed our portion of the paperwork. Then, we went to the hospital to pick up our baby girl. They made us watch a video explaining how to take care of a baby. :) After that viewing pleasure was over, we headed home! :) The kids love Baby Girl. Andi is especially excited to finally have a sister.

We got to hold Baby Girl tonight!

We were able to spend a nice amount of time with the baby and the Birth Mom. It was a very nice visit. Tomorrow is paperwork signing day so we hope the next post you see is a pic of Baby Girl in our van on her way home! :) We would also like to thank all of you who have reached out to us, offered prayers, and posted good wishes. I am shocked at the amount of support. Please continue to pray for Birth Mom and Birth Father since tomorrow will no doubt be one of the toughest days of their lives.

Introducing Angelina Frances Marie Hill

Born: 7:20am

Weight: 8 lbs 5 oz

Length: 21 and a quarter inches

Named after my sweet Grammie, Angelina

Francis was my wonderful Papa's middle name

Marie is the birth mom's middle name

And you know where Hill comes from. :)

I got a call from the birth mom today at 8am saying that she just had the baby and we could come and meet her. My friend Girl (Liz) came right over to stay with Kaleb and Bethany (the little girl I am watching) and since Eric was already at work, he left work and met me at the hospital. When we first got there, we were able to visit with birth mom who was in great spirits. She said we could go and see the baby. Once we got to the nursery window, the baby was right in front getting a bath. Of course, I started crying and Eric and I were looking at every little feature she has. :) Angelina is soooo beautiful! We are in love. :) At first, we were just going to be able to see her through the glass, but the birth mom allowed me to have her second wrist band so I could go in to touch her and take her picture. Eric had could not go in the nursery since he didn't have a wrist band, but we will be able to hold her when we go back to the hospital tomorrow. I was able to talk to her and feel her soft baby skin. We can't WAIT to hold her. If all goes well, she can come home with us on Friday. PLEASE send your prayers our way that everything works out. Baby Girl is HERE!

Birth mom called at 8am and said Baby Girl was born this morning at 7:20am. She said we could come and see her right now so we are on our way!!!!!!

Baby Girl is due any time now...

The birth mom said that she can get induced tomorrow if she has not gone into labor by then. PLEASE pray for her and the baby. We are so excited! I feel like I going to jump out of my skin! :)
