My friend Kami had her baby shower today and it was sooo fun! I got to see friends from my old job that I have not seen in a long time. It was a great reunion. :)

Our new park

I LOVE our neighborhood. We have a new city park just two small blocks from our front door. It was built RIGHT next to the kids school. Today, I walked down to the school to pick up Miguel (Andi has tutoring on Thursdays') and we went to he new park while we were waiting for her. Because the park is so close, she was able to walk over to us when she was finished. The park has just opened so the grass is still growing, etc. But we love it.
Below: the park is on the left, and the cars on the right are the parking lot of the school.
Below: you can't see it in the pic, but the community pool is just to the left of the park.

Cooking help needed!

I need some VERY easy casserole dish idea's or any idea's that do not require more than about 5 ingredients total. :) Once, at a church function, I had this chicken & broccoli casserole that was served over rice and it was sooooo good. Anyone know how to do that? I think it had some sour cream in it and melted cheese on top. I could also use some good crock pot recipes. It seems that we are always on the go so I would like to have the crock pot do all the cooking for me. :) Thanks for your help!

Clap for me Mommy!

This is what Poopie told me this morning when he went poo-poo in his potty. When I was a teen, I could have never imagined that one of my largest sources of happiness as an adult would be cleaning poop out of a training potty. :) I was so proud this morning. He said, "I am ready to do poop in my potty Mommy!" Naturally, I grabbed his hand and ran for the bathroom and he went without any problem. As a matter o fact, he kept trying to push out more so the music would go off on his potty. lol Sorry for the TMI... But I am sooo happy about this poop. Then, I was about to wipe him when he asked me to clap for him. How dare I forget! Anyway, I added a couple more pics of Poopie to this post to honor him for his big moment today... lol :)

Thank Goodness for Friends!

Today, Andi had a soccer game at the same time Miguel had a Cub Scout activity. Eric was tutoring and I am dog sick. Joni took Andi to soccer with her and Lillie and Kristen R. took Miguel along with her son to the Cub Scout activity. Thanks so much friends! You saved the day. Poopie stayed home to take care of his Mommy. :)

Birds!

We were on our way to pick up my prescription at CVS when I noticed that there were thousands of birds everywhere. I thought I was in the Alfred Hitchcock movie "Birds!" This is a video. You can hear how loud they were. :)

S'more neighborhood fun!

Tonight, some of the neighbors joined us in our driveway for a good ol' s'mores roast. I LOVE our street and all of our neighbors. Heavenly Father has really blessed us with a wonderful place to call home.

Finally!

We put up our Halloween decorations today. For those of you who know me, the few pics I have below are far from a true representation of the actual amount of decorations we have. :) I have more decorations for Halloween than most people do for Christmas. I have more decorations for Christmas than most Hotels. Lol But, I just wanted to take a few pics of some of the cute stuff we were putting up outside. We are soooo into holidays and it is so awesome for our family to have these great traditions. I love digging the old decorations out of the bins and remembering when I got them. I have had most of this stuff from well before Eric and I were married. They are a little torn around the edges, but they are the Hill Family decorations and we love them. :) Now, when I have more memory on my camera, I can take about 50 pics and really show you what we have up. lol

Andi & Miguel

My son has been star struck. Let me explain... We got an e-mail from a girl at church who does modeling and her agency was looking for a Hawaiian boy for a roll on the Barney show. (It is filmed in Dallas) I e-mailed some pics of Miguel and less than two minutes later, the casting person e-mailed me that she wanted to see him right away. This was Thursday night and she wanted to see him Friday at 5:45pm. She e-mailed his lines for the audition and he was ready to go. He was one of the last boys to audition and they would not let me go in with him. The other boys had head shots and stage moms. :) Anyway, when each boy finished, he walked out to his mom on his own and left. When Miguel walked out, the director came out too and said she noticed on his form that this was his first time trying something like this and she wanted to personally come and tell me that he was soooo good. She went on to say that he was a natural and we should pursue acting for him! She also said that he could get this part but she could hear his slight Spanish accent and this part was for a Hawaiian boy so that would not work out but she wanted to let me know that he auditioned better than any of the "professional" boys. :) We are so proud of him. She said he has a one of a kind smile. Now that is something we already know. :) Here is a pic of him in front of the studio.

Today Andi scored her first goal of the season. She is our little soccer machine! :) Way to go Andi!!!!

I took this pic of her just a little while ago for this post. Doesn't she look older???? :) Yikes? Who is that beautiful young lady? Surely she is not just 9 years old...
