Swiming and Slurpees

Today, after we went to the pool with our friend Girl (Liz), we headed over the local 7-11 for a free slurpee. (They have free slurpee day on 07/11) There were blue and red mouths everywhere! :)

Last night, we took the kids outside to try out their new bikes. Andi did a great job! Miguel... well, he needs a lot more practice. :) Poopie was ready with his "helmet" and big wheel. (His helmet is actually Miguel’s old baseball helmet.) lol Thanks again Pops and Nana for the bikes! They are a Hill family hit!

Splash Pad Fun

Today we had a family playdate with the Stoker Family. We went to a fun little park with a splash pad and the kids had a ball. Even the Stoker's dog Zeke had a great time. :)

We have three Divas who live here. One is 8 years old and resembles Liz Taylor when she sleeps. The other two are of the feline persuasion and you are considered royalty if they bother to pay attention to you. :)

The Hill Family Fun-Old-Fashioned-Family-4th of July "Part I"

Our 4th of July celebration started at 8am with a Ward (church) pancake breakfast. We enjoyed ourselves and were so grateful that the Bishopric devoted their time to making it a great morning for us.

About Our Family...

Eric and I married in Dec. of 2003 and we are the parents of 5 beautiful adopted children. Our two oldest children were placed with us through foster care at ages 5 and 6. We knew someone from our church who was adopting them and she could not continue with the adoption so we took them in and their adoptions were final one year later. Our youngest son was placed with us at 3 days old through private adoption. His birth mom had him in her high school restroom on the toilet. She said she didn't know she was pg. We are SO grateful that her and the birthfather chose adoption even at their young age. Our friend worked at the hospital where he was taken and she helped facilitate a private adoption. We had no idea of him until 5 hours before we brought him home! No bottles, no baby items, no car seat, nothing! :) Our middle daughter came to us through our church adoption agency. Her birth mom picked us out of a bunch of profiles after getting to know our family when she was about 20 weeks along. We were so blessed to bring her home straight from the hospital when she was three days old. Our youngest baby came home at 3 days old. Her birth mom is a close friend whom we have known for two years. She is SUCH A DOLL! We are sooo grateful to have her join our family. We moved from So.California to N.Texas in Dec.of 2006. We love it here and are glad to have an affordable home! :)
