Poopie voted early!

Below is a video I took when we were ready to leave. He insisted on wearing his costume because today is Halloween. (I tried to get him to take it off for his nap and he said he didn't want too because then he will miss Halloween!) lol

Here we are in line. I look like I weigh 600 pounds because of this shirt, but I don't care. It was a historical moment for us. :)

Once we were inside, Poopie said, (really loud) "Hey Mommy! I am voting for Barack Obama!" Everyone started laughing and saying he was campaigning in the polling area. haha He touched the screen casting his first vote ever in what will probably be the most important election of his lifetime. I am a proud mommy today.

A Hill Family Halloween Tradition

Every year we light a fire and watch "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown." Here are the kids enjoying our tradition tonight.

Here you go...

Some have said that they can't wait to see how my Christmas fireplace will look. Why wait?! Here is a pic from last year... While I'm at it, why don't I just add a few more of the living room and entry way? :) Some of you have seen these before so to you I say, enjoy them again! lol

First Fire of the Season

I love having a real fall season. That was something we missed out on in So. Cal. Today, the high was 61 and the low will be 31 tonight! :) Everyone who knows me knows I have had an obsession with a "holiday fireplace" all my life. When we were having this house built, I asked for brick instead of the standard tile. I am glad I did. I finally have the fireplace of my dreams. :)

By the way, those are Halloween bat lights. :)

Weekend Fun - Warning! Lots of pics! :)

This weekend we went to the pumpkin patch and Mr. Nick's annual neighborhood pumpkin carving party. Eric and I were both sick this weekend, but it was fun to see the kids having a good time... The "Free Queen" has struck again. Last year, we went to the pumpkin patch in Celina, but it is $7 per person to get in. We were NOT about to pay that this year so I went on-line to search for another pumpkin patch. I found one in Frisco off of Main street on the left side about a block past the Dallas tollway. It had hay rides, games, a bounce house, a hay maze and it was all FREE! All you pay is is the cost of any pumpkin you chose to buy. I highly recommend this pumpkin patch. Everyone there was sooo nice and the kids had such a good time. Did I mention that it was FREE? :) lol

In the video below, you can hear the hayride driver honking. When he honked, we were supposed to yell out... "PUMPKIN!" The kids had so much fun.

Below: We liked the hayride so much, we went on again before we left...

Above: Poopie's pumpkin has paint on it because we had the kids carve the free pumpkins they painted at the Prosper Art Fair. There's that word again... FREE! lol
