Nice work! :)

Poopie and Austin (my neighbor's son that I babysit) wanted lunch so I told them the ENTIRE playroom had to be clean of their Lego's before they could eat. I reminded them that I didn't want to see anything left on the floor. About 15 minutes later they came out and were so excited to show me how well they cleaned. I walked in to find this... Not only did they clean up their Lego's, but they took me VERY literally and picked up EVERYTHING single thing off the floors including the chairs! lol

Happy Birthday Papa

My Dear Papa's birthday was this Saturday. It is VERY hard to think that he is gone. I so desperately wanted him to make it long enough to meet the baby... Anyway, he is someone who should NEVER be forgotten. I love you my Papa. I miss you and Grammie so much. My heart aches to talk to you on the phone one more time or to have a strong hug and to hear you call me your sweetheart.

Little Miss Hollywood :)

Texas Skies

One of the many things I love about Texas are the sunsets. They are always so beautiful and colorful and I can't help but think of how my Sweet Grammie would appreciate all the lavender and orange.

Cub Scout Pack Meeting

Last week Miguel had a pack meeting. We watched a video of the events they have done over the summer, saw some get awards, and then after the meeting all the kids got Root beer floats. :) I am VERY grateful for those who participate in this great program for my son and others.
Below: Poopie was VERY serious about everyone being quiet and kept holding up the "quiet" sign... lol

The Big 1-0

Andi is now in the double digits. She turned 10 yesterday. Her day was filled with doughnuts for school and a surprise celebration with the girls at church activity night. (Thanks Julie!)Of course, it also included a giant box of gifts from Grandma. :) Lucky kid. So, in honor of her 10th birthday, I will tell you ten things about Andi...

1. She loves all things girly like painting her nails and doing her hair

2. She loves to put on make-up when she has sleep overs

3. Her favorite food is spaghetti

4. She is great at English and needs LOTS of work for math

5. Andi LOVES Taylor Swift

6. She is NOT in to name brand clothes or anything pretentious. (Thank goodness)

7. Her favorite color is green

8. Her favorite TV show is Icarly

9. Andi's wish is to have her room painted and decorated

10. She eats like three grown men put together but NEVER gains weight. (I wish I had that problem) :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDI! We love you!

Howdy Y'all!

FSA dinner

On Saturday evening we had the opportunity to attend the Families Supporting Adoption dinner. Over the past month or so, the FSA members have been doing a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald house and we presented the food to the Ronald McDonald representative at the dinner. It was a nice evening and it felt great to be a part of something so special. Our friends Girl and Rick did a great job of planning this event.

New Stake Center Ground-Breaking

On Saturday morning after Andi's 1st soccer game of the season, (they won) we went to the ground breaking for our church's state center. for those of you who are not familiar with our Church, it is kind of like a regional building where all the regional events are held. It is right down the street from us and we are hoping our ward will have to move there. :) (Ward means our church time. We go to different church times based on where we live so we are going to church with those who also go to our kids schools and live in our neighborhoods. Those boundaries are called Wards.) It was not as hot as I thought it would be so we were all grateful for that. The kids took turns breaking the ground...What Baby Girl did the ENTIRE time...
(I wish she would sleep like that at home!) :)Someone was ready for his piece of cake! :)It's very cool to know we took part of history being made for our new church building and the building up of our neighborhood. :)

And the winner is....

Andi! She won her race for Treasurer against FIVE other kids in 5th grade. :) She had a super type "A" campaign manager so I am SURE that helped. lol Congrats Andi! We are soooo proud of you!

God Bless the U-S-what?

I love the 4th of July and God Bless the USA is a song we hear quite often during that time. The other day I asked Kaleb to sing it for me and apparently he has put his own spin on the song. At the end he sings something that shows our college football allegiance... lol He also says, "where at least I know I three" instead of free. It seems as if he wants everyone to know how proud he is to be three! :) Enjoy!

Yes this is Ladies Night and We're Feelin' Right!

For this months Ladies Night dinner we went to Babe's Chicken. We also celebrated Stacy's 30th birthday. Babe's Chicken is a down home place that serves the meal family style. The waitresses dance and do the hokey pokey and yes, I got up and did it too! I also forced Stacy to join in the dancin' fun. lol Since it was her birthday, our waitress had Stacy stand up in from of the entire restaurant, put on a cup beak and demonstrate the chicken dance to all! :) Good times. lol Happy Birthday Stacy!
