Friday Night Date :)

Last Friday night we had the privelegde of hanging out with our good friends Donna and Wayne at the Gaylord Texan in order to celebrate their birthdays. Although I ended up in the hospital at the end of the night, it was a good time! :) The Carlsons just party too hard for me... :)

Meet the Teacher/Kindergarten Orientation

Yesterday Kaleb had his kindergarten orientation/meet the teacher. Andi had her schedule pick-up so we let Miguel go with her so he could practice opening his locker. :) Two more days until school starts!

Miguel's Birthday Dinner (after his party) - 11 years old

Below: Goosey was watching all the monkeys and birds in the tree. When she was finished eating she wanted Daddy to hold her to insure her safety. lol

Below: the waitress told Miguel that he needed to get on his chair and dance and if he stopped dancing they would stop singing and start over. :)

Miguel's birthday party

Today we enjoyed celebrating Miguel's 11th birthday! He invited about 5 friends that will be attending middle school with him this year. :) Andi had some of her friends there too. The party was complete with cake, pizza and swimming! :) Eric had to work so he stopped by during his lunch break. Miguel had a great time.

About Our Family...

Eric and I married in Dec. of 2003 and we are the parents of 5 beautiful adopted children. Our two oldest children were placed with us through foster care at ages 5 and 6. We knew someone from our church who was adopting them and she could not continue with the adoption so we took them in and their adoptions were final one year later. Our youngest son was placed with us at 3 days old through private adoption. His birth mom had him in her high school restroom on the toilet. She said she didn't know she was pg. We are SO grateful that her and the birthfather chose adoption even at their young age. Our friend worked at the hospital where he was taken and she helped facilitate a private adoption. We had no idea of him until 5 hours before we brought him home! No bottles, no baby items, no car seat, nothing! :) Our middle daughter came to us through our church adoption agency. Her birth mom picked us out of a bunch of profiles after getting to know our family when she was about 20 weeks along. We were so blessed to bring her home straight from the hospital when she was three days old. Our youngest baby came home at 3 days old. Her birth mom is a close friend whom we have known for two years. She is SUCH A DOLL! We are sooo grateful to have her join our family. We moved from So.California to N.Texas in Dec.of 2006. We love it here and are glad to have an affordable home! :)
