Baby Shower Goodness

Tonight I hosted a baby shower for my friend Andrea. I met her at church and she is also my neighbor. :) Everyone brought a yummy dessert. We had a great time and I really enjoyed hanging out with our friends and meeting her family.

h-u-g-g-i-n-g... Did you think I was going to say kissing? No way! Poopie is not allowed to kiss or date until he is 35. At that time, he will marry the girl next door in true American Dream fashion. They will live down the street from me so Tamara and I can visit them whenever we want. Did I mention that I will not have to knock before walking in to their home? :) lol Last weekend, we were able to watch our next-door neighbor Piper while her mom and dad went to a wedding. She is so sweet and she & Poopie were the best of friends. I could not help but starting to plan their wedding in my mind... LOL

I said no!

This is Poopie's response every time he has to take a nap. He hates naps these days. I think he figures he is going to miss out on some type of action. :) The other day, Miguel had built a fort in the playroom. When it was time for Poopie to take a nap, I could not find him. Turns out, he had run for cover. I have included a small video with my sad attempts at trying to talk him into coming out before I had to go in after him... :)

The sky was so beautiful tonight. The moon was shining so bright, the clouds looked like pillows streched out over the horizon. I attempted to take pics with my cheapy camera. They do not do it justice at all...

No, we have not blown away...

Lots of people have been calling and asking me if we were getting pounded by Ike. We live in North Texas, far away from Houston. :) We did not get more than a little breeze and some rain. Here are some pics I took and a short video of "the worst." lol

Poor Poopie

He has the misfortune of having a Mommy that finds his embarrassing moments totally cute and worth sharing. A couple of days ago, Poopie went poo-poo in his potty. He was pushing and pushing trying to get it out so he could get his lollie-pop. :)

Yesterday, I got home from Weight Watchers to find that Andi had dressed him up as Little Red Riding Hood. :)

Soccer Saturday

We started off our Saturday morning with Andi's first soccer game of the season. They did not win, but it was a good game. Andi's best friend who is also our across the street neighbor is on the team too, so that makes it extra fun for us. After the game, we cleaned the house and Eric started the BBQ... AND watching football. Yipee... Football season is almost over right! Please tell me it is!!! :)
