Lots of people have been calling and asking me if we were getting pounded by Ike. We live in North Texas, far away from Houston. :) We did not get more than a little breeze and some rain. Here are some pics I took and a short video of "the worst." lol

That's good that you are not in danger of the hurricane! I do love a good storm (AZ monsoon season is the best), I really would never want to be near a hurricane! My husband's cousin's family was evacuated from New Orleans . . . scary!
I was wondering about you guys too. I don't watch the news much - just heard Ike was in Texas. I'm glad you are out of the way.
