Keeper of the snacks

Last week Kaleb was chosen to bring snack for his Sunday school class for this week and all week he has been so excited. At 6am yesterday he woke up asking me if it was time to go to church so he could take snack. lol Anyway, during Sacrament he fell asleep and we could not wake him up to bring him to class once Sacrament was over. Eric had to go substitute teach a class so I was on my own and I could not lift him off the pew because of my back so our friend Brother Hafen offered to get him for me because I had to bring the snack. Once I got back, I found John holding Kaleb in the church office as he worked on something. There were at least three guys in there all talking & such and Poopie didn't wake up AT ALL! lol I finally got him up and brought him to class. Luckily, he had not missed the snack he had been waiting for the ENTIRE week. :) The first thing he did when he got to class was run up to one of his teachers and say... "I brought the snack today!" Here he is right before we left for church holding the precious snack bin. :) Could you just eat him up???!!!

14 years ago today...

a door opened and I met the love of my life. :) I was 17 (about to turn 18) and I laid eyes on the most handsome man that has ever walked the earth. Little did he know that the annoying younger woman who was obsessed with him would be his wife eight years later. :) LOL! I love you Babe! Thank goodness I am a GREAT stalker and bugged you so much you gave in! :)
Also, 4 years ago this month is when we first got Andi & Miguel. I was their daycare provider and when their social worker called to say that they were being moved from their home she asked Eric and I to take them temporarily. That night they came to our house, slept on the couch and NEVER LEFT. :) We love you Andi & Miguel! Happy placement anniversary! This pic at Disneyland was taken one month after we got them.

Daddy Pillow

Slurpee fun & Angelina update

Every year 7-11 gives away free small slurpees on July 11th. We had no idea about this until lasy year our neighbor Sherry told us. (She works for 7-11) My kids were looking forward to it again this year.

On another note, Baby Girl turned 5 months old yesterday. She is such a doll. She scoots across the room already and LOVES music. I would have to say that Kaleb is still her favorite person with me a close second. She loves Daddy the most when she wants to be cuddled. So far she only belly laughs at Sissy. She can take or leave Miguel. :) lol Angelina LOVES to "talk" to our cats and look at herself in her bouncy mirror. If you hold her hands, she will pull herself up to a sitting position then pull herself up to a standing position without help. As i have said before, her smile melts a thousand hearts. She uses every part of her face to express herself and when she does not get her way, she gets VERY mad and tries to pull her hair out and have a baby tantrum. :) As of now, her tanrums are still cute. Ask me again when she is 3 years old. lol We love her so much and are soooo greatful to have her.

I know this is kind of ghetto but...

The kids enjoyed the slip n slide one more time last night before we have to give it back to Mrs. Joni. She let us borrow it for the 4th of July. Who can blame us? One more go'round won't hurt anybody! :)

Update on Angelina

Our Baby girl had her 4 month old Dr's appointment last week and she now weighs over 17 lbs and is 27 inches long! They said she EXCEEDS the 95% percentile for height and weight. Her clothes are size 9 months! :) She "talks" and laughs and will melt your heart with her huge smile. She is a Daddy's girl but she laughs at Mommy ALL the time. I wonder if that will be the same response when I ask her to do her chores when she is older... ;) Here are some recent pics and a video of her talking to me. :) I HAD to throw in a pic of her chunky legs. I could just eat them up!

Below: video of the baby "talking." Please remember to turn off the music (located on the right towards the bottom) if you want to hear her better.

4th of July part 1: Church pancake breakfast

This year Miguel's cub scout pack performed the flag ceremony. Brother Morgan shared some patriotic words, the bishopric made some GREAT pancakes and "Sister Friendly" lead the kids in a parade around the park. It was a great way to start the day!
Below: Ready to march in the parade! After the breakfast I had to make a quick run to the store and in the Target parking lot there were some horse trailers with two horses. Kaleb asked if he could "pet" them so I pulled over and asked the men handling them if my sons could see them and they said yes! :) (I only had Miguel and Kaleb with me.) They were so nice and told us about the horses and let Miguel get on the horse named Texas. :) (Kaleb wanted NOTHING to do with getting on the horse.) We thanked the nice men who Kaleb called "the cowboys." :)
