The aftermath...

It is soooo fun for us to put up our Christmas decorations, but it takes an act of Congress to get them all down. lol Tonight was the night. I could not stand to look at them a minute longer. Keep in mind, I start celebrating Christmas in late August so I am READY to move on once it is 12am December 26th. :) I HAD to take pics of the mess as we started taking everything down. I have to put everything in front of me before I organize it into it's proper bin so for half the night, stuff is everywhere. I am happy to announce this house is Christmas decoration free and now it is time to bust out our Valentines decorations! :)
Below: A little someone kept trying to "help" Daddy so Daddy had to give him a little upside-down tickle. :)

Below: After we took the tree down and put away some bins...
Looks naked huh? I think it's time for curtains...

Above: I can't decide if I want to put the bins back in the game room or in the garage. I like for them to be close to me so I can protect them all year... lol

Ugh, I am so not looking forward to that. I'm waiting till Saturday, after my brother leaves.

Just to give you an idea of how many more decorations you have than us, our stuff only fills four medium-sized totes. :)

That is a lot of work! Steve is FINALLY taking off work tomorrow and we are taking the tree down and everything is going back up in the attic! I can't wait!

Man, I'm tired just looking at your pics! You are the queen of Christmas. I know what you mean though, I made John help me put the tree away the Saturday after Christmas. It took us like 10 minutes to put the rest of our piddly stuff away!

I took all our Christmas stuff down, too. HOWEVER, unlike you, my stuff is still covering the floor of my front living room. No bins yet...but the rest of my house looks great! And yes, it's weird how empty the house looks when it's over!

Love all the Christmas pics!

I don't start taking anything down until after the Epiphany. We Catholics, at least this one does, celebrates Christmas until then. Besides I still have some shows/movies to watch. Christmas can't end until then! (Rudolph, Frosty, White Christmas, The Santa Clause 3)

Everything looks so lonely when the christmas "stuff" is down!!! I'm not quite finished with all the bins yet, but I have a little hold up this year!! Elena is into and on everything so whatever I put away, she "helps" by taking it out!! lol Tomorrow is another day!

I know I hate taking them down! We still haven't! and I think your house looks great "naked"!!! I like the clean uncluttered look! How do you keep it so uncluttered with 3 kids!!! ???

CONGRATS!! I have been dreading taking down ours!!

Oh, as far as where to store your decorations . . . my favorite was in our old house, we had those hanging shelves in the garage and I put all of our Christmas stuff up in those. Since we only got into them once a year, it worked great! :-)
