Lovin' the lake

We love the Lake. I'm sure there are bigger swim beaches out there with other lakes, but this one is literally 15 minutes from our front door and it's FREE so we love it. The sand is soft and beautiful, the water is clean, clean bathrooms and it makes for great family time. The actual lake is miles and miles long, but they have a small swim cove and it is perfect for us. This last time, Eric joined us and we were there for over 4 hours. It was the baby's first time. :)
Below: here are some pics we took prior to this visit on a sunny day...Later that night, Miguel, Andi & Poopie made the birthday bags for Miguel's bday party the next day... :)

Go up eldorado until your in Little Elm. Once Eldorado curves rt you look for a little entrance ont he rt side that says Little Elm park. Turn rt then follow the street around and it takes you right to the swim beach. :)

I have to say that Andi is the best sport of all time. She smiles so sweetly for the gazillion photos you take, and Miguel is usually right next to her, smiling just as broadly. She might not be so willing once she hits teenagerhood, though. :-)

What a great outing! I wish we had a lake like that around here. You are so great at finding fun, free things to do as a family.

The lake is beautiful. Some days I'd prefer a peaceful lake than salty crashing waves.
